About this booklet
A presentation prepared for the Montmagny community's mikvah appeal, in Yiddish and English. It sets out the case in three parts: the local school the mikvah will serve, the architect's rendering of the finished building, and a photographic record of the construction from the first excavation through to its present state.
Between them run the figures the campaign rests on — the mikvaos already completed worldwide, those standing mid-construction and waiting on funding, the tevillos performed to date, and the number of Jewish families still asking for a mikvah of their own.
Two of those figures are journeys rather than sums: the hours it takes to reach the Jewish community on the Gold Coast in Australia one way, and the round trip from Malta to the nearest mikvah, in Rome.
