In the charming town of Montmagny, situated in the picturesque suburbs of Paris, a new burst of spirituality was joyfully celebrated. The vibrant and dynamic local Jewish community had the honor of unveiling their brand new Mikveh, a ritual bath, introduced with unparalleled grandiloquence and magnificence.
The Sitbon family settled in Montmagny 12 years ago, With around 300 Jewish families in Montmagny, the absence of a Mikvah was a significant challenge, especially on Shabbat evenings and holidays.
The Montmagny Jewish community, encompassing about 300 families, primarily originating from Morocco, has greatly benefited from Rabbi Sitbon’s dedicated efforts over the past decade. Since his arrival, he has established a synagogue, a school, and, with the support of Mikvah Tahara, a lavish new Mikvah that serves approximately 50% of the community.
