How we collect consent to send text messages
This page documents the opt-in process for our toll-free number, and shows the exact wording a donor agrees to.
Where consent is collected
Consent is collected on our online donation form. Anyone giving to a campaign may optionally tick a box to receive text messages. The box is not ticked by default, and a donation can be completed without ticking it — consent is never a condition of donating.
The opt-in exactly as it appears
This is the checkbox as rendered on the donation form, in the same place and with the same wording a donor sees, immediately below the mobile number field:
